Many people want us to show their personal pictures with our Free Slideshows. We are more than happy to let
them shine..However, after many performances we have developed some guidelines to increase chances of success..
FAQS
1) Our number one philosophy for Slideshows is: The Simpler the
Better..We use expensive Slideshow programs. We usually just need a group
of your labeled pictures. We prefer them on a USB flashdrive backup copy and mailed to our Address. Please mail them
parcel post and not in a regular envelope..Please remind us before your event to bring your Usb Flashdrive to return to you.
2) How many pictures? Although we can accommodate almost any number, we recommend
between about thirty to forty pictures. Not to short, not to long..The default time is 30 seconds between pictures.
However, we have the ability to adjust the time prior to the presentation if requested.
3) Can
I request music to be played with the pictures? Most Certainly. Just tell us ahead of time the songs that you
want played to go along with your pictures or if you prefer we can choose songs for you ..Usually two or three songs
is sufficient. If you have real obscure music, then you can put them on a compatible cd rom and mail them along
with the usb memory stick.
4) What if I want to create my own presentation on dvd? We STRONGLY urge you not
to..We have found compatibility issues with other software programs..If you already have one created than we STRONGLY suggest
to mail it to us ahead of time to see if it is compatible..Our rule of thumb is if it plays in a regular dvd player or windows
media player it should work.
5) When should the Slideshow be presented? That would depend on your party situation..Most
presentations are best played either during dinner or when dinner is ending. We sometimes reshow them later in the event..
6)
What order do you put them in? We normally set the pictures to random or it is your responsibility
to RENAME and LABEL them in the order you choose. We will try our best to put them in the order that you want but we do not
guarantee this because when it is live anything can happen..
7) I have alot of white background
what can I do? You can crop your pictures with various third party programs such as in windows Media Center..Just
zoom in, (Crop) your picture and save it.. Slideshows are great when presented correctly and most
turn out good..Here are a few known problems that have occurred in the past...
--Apple Computer products- Our computers
are NOT Apple compatible. Solution: Convert to Windows
--WRONG CODECS- We don't have every codec in the world. This situation usually
occurs when the client makes their own DVD rom. Divx will Not work. Solution: Making your own Dvd rom is NOT recommended.
You are paying us for our vast music library, why not take advantage of it?
--Not a Usb Drive- Believe it or not, we have had someone give us a Nintendo Wii memory
card..A simple USB flashdrive or USB Memory stick is what we prefer.
--To many pictures- We once performed a combined party with two sets of pictures.
One client had over a hundred pictures and the other client had about twenty..Our program is usually set to random and we
cannot help if one set showed more than the other. Solution: We suggest about thirty to forty pictures. At one party, the
people got bored after seeing over seventy pictures.
--to few pictures- At one Wedding, We were presented with a
Usb drive with a folder with ten pictures. Solution: We suggest about thirty to forty pictures.
--Under or Over developed pictures/Under or Over sized pictures--
We are not Photographers with advanced degrees in photoshop nor magicians. If your picture is small and hard to see on your
computer it will be the same on ours. Solution: You can try to resize or correct the pictures yourself with third party
programs such as windows picture gallery.
--Mail your backup usb drive in advance to:
P.o.box 622 Best Times Djs Chester Heights, Pa. 19017
Also, Please mail Parcel Post because we have had
one incident where someone mailed the usb drive in a regular envelope and the mail machine ripped it right out of the envelope..The
client didn't make a backup, so she had to redo them. She then mailed it Parcel Post. Also, please use a cheap
generic usb flashdrive when possible, we had one client mail an expensive usb flashdrive and it is now lost somewhere
in the postal system. We have had very few problems with the U.S Post office. We are not responsible for what
they lose.
Again, our number one Slideshow philosophy is: The Simpler the Better..Just some pictures on
a Usb flashdrive. Please remember that we are showing this LIVE and it is almost impossible to adjust once the presentation
has started and a hundred onlookers are watching. Although we strive hard for a Successful show, our FREE Slideshow presentations
are not in any way 100 percent guaranteed. Also, we recommend to send us your backup copy flashdrive,
(not the original), because we are not responsible for anything lost, stolen, broken or erased.
Following many of these simple guidelines can
help ensure a Successful Slideshow Presentation.
